I {heart} you
Okay, funny story...I was at Hobby Lobby and saw this adorable to die-for print, I took a picture with my phone and figured I could figure out how to make a similar one at home. At home a couple hours later, I'm browsing links on Tip Junkie's link party and came across a cute blog. I look around a little bit and Voila! The exact same print I had been drooling over just hours before at the store. It must be fate that I have this print! Check it out here. Thanks Aimee for sharing! :)

Glass Pendant Necklace
I added a pink ribbon to wear it. Right now, I just tie it in a bow but I think later on I might add a clasp or chain instead. This one just has a piece of scrapbook paper with a pink heart that I distressed the edges with brown ink. Then I mod podged it on the back and added a bail. I love it so much I decided to make some more.
On this one, I used some of my favorite fabric that has a small print and added a sheer ribbon.
These next few are ones that I’m still working on. They have bird pictures on them from various old greeting cards. Again, the edge of the pictures are distressed with brown ink.
These were all made using flat back marbles that I got from Hobby Lobby. They turned out great but they do have a bit of an iridescent shine to them, which can make it hard to see the picture. So, I decided to order some glass tiles that are actually used for making these kind of necklaces. I found a great seller online at Etsy and will hopefully get them in time for my girls’ craft night this weekend. These would also make really great magnets by just adding a magnet on the back. Love it!

We’re Back…kind of
So, the computer is fixed and we’re back in business. Unfortunately, I have quite a few projects I want to share with you. So, photos need to be edited and posts written to get caught up. Meanwhile, enjoy a cute painting from my first grade son. His picture was recently chosen (along with a few others) to represent his school at a district-wide art exhibit. He loved getting to see his picture as well as others at the exhibit. I love that he loves art just as much as I do. I mean, seriously, what other 7 year-old gets super excited about getting art supplies for Christmas and then spends his entire vacation drawing pictures and having his uncle teach him how to draw? Love it!
P.S. This is not even is best work. He thinks it was picked by his art teacher because it’s really colorful. He calls it “A bunch of pumpkins.” :)
